Online payment, in practice

A live project that already takes payments online through Stripe, then a typical order example.

Project · Aura Spa

At Aura Spa, bookings are paid online through Stripe.

See the Aura Spa project

Aura Spa is not a shop: its customers book a treatment and pay for it online. In that journey:

  • online payment, without leaving the journey;
  • booking confirmation, as soon as payment is approved;
  • a confirmation email to the customer;
  • an email to the spa with the booking details.
Example

An order, from cart to preparation

  1. CartThe customer picks products, with size or colour.
  2. PaymentBy card or Bancontact, through Stripe; flat-rate delivery by zone, or in-store pick-up.
  3. ConfirmationThe customer gets an email; you get the order notification.
  4. PreparationYou find the order in your Stripe dashboard and prepare the shipment or pick-up.
Fictional example, for illustration only. Categories, variants and delivery zones are defined with you.

FAQ · E-commerce

Your questions. Our clear answers.

How much does a custom online shop cost?

From €4,500 for a simple shop, with 30 products uploaded by Kayo, excluding options and third-party costs, including Stripe's fee on each sale. The final price is the one in the signed quote. No VAT is charged (VAT exemption).

Why custom rather than Shopify or WooCommerce?

They are good solutions, and they suit some projects better. A custom shop gives you control over design and speed, with no shop-platform subscription. In return, Stripe takes a fee on each sale, and features such as a customer account or gift cards are options priced separately. We discuss it during the 20-minute call.

Can I add products myself?

Yes, in Stripe. Your products and orders are managed in the Stripe dashboard, on your own account. The 1-hour handover session is there for that. Kayo uploads the first 30 products from your copy and photos.

Which payment methods are accepted?

Card and Bancontact, through Stripe, on a Stripe account in your name. Stripe takes a fee on each sale; it is paid by you.

How does delivery work?

Flat-rate delivery by zone, and in-store pick-up, following the delivery rules you give us. Order preparation and logistics stay on your side. Shipping labels (Bpost, Sendcloud) are an option priced separately.

Do you write the shop's terms of sale?

No. Your terms and conditions of sale (right of withdrawal, etc.) are to be drafted by your legal adviser; you provide them to us for the shop.
